Glossary

AdWords Campaign: a set of ad groups (ads, keywords and bids) that share a budget, location targeting, and other settings. Campaigns are often used to organise categories of products or services that you offer.

Ad Group: one or more ads which target a shared set of keywords.

AdWords Ad: a text, graphical or video link which leads to your site or store.

Keywords: words or phrases describing your product or service that you choose to help determine when and where your ad can appear.

Google Search Network: an advertising network in which you can find thousands of potential customers for your business. It displays text ads in response to a user’s query, which are commonly known as 'sponsored links'.

Google Display Network: an advertising network that displays graphical ads. The ads are displayed on thematically related websites that the system automatically matches with them.

Product Listing Ads (PLA): an advertising campaign for online stores, which allows you to advertise your product inventory directly into both Google Search and Google Display networks.

YouTube Campaigns: video campaigns on YouTube and other sites that display videos from YouTube. It is an excellent advertising tool that will definitely increase the visibility of your site or online store.

Gmail Sponsored Promotions: a direct mailing campaign that advertises your business in the Gmail user’s inbox. It is a customised campaign designed to target only a specific audience in order to reach only people potentially interested in your offer.

Remarketing: allows you to reach users who have already visited your site before. By using this tool, we can show them customised ads in Google Search or similar networks. This will help you to attract potential customers who visited your site in the past but did not buy anything.
